I have medication controled atrial fibrillation. I’m not on any anticoagulants but I do take an aspirin every day to be on the safe side. So I would be insane to take a drug that has a risk of blood clots.

However even if I did not have that, I stand by my statement regarding experimental drugs.

I am 70 and my wife is 69 and we both had some version of covid in January. I say some version because she was tested and I asked if they knew what version and was told they didn’t. I think a lot of this version business is simply made up on the Fly.

I have an older brother (treated at a VA facilty) who had one single one time AFIB event while he was in the hospital, and even that one they (the doctors) said it was not certain it was an afib event> And that was years ago and he’s never ever hed another afib event.

Yet they keep him on blood thinners, not because they reduce the likelihood of an afib event, but so’s just incase he does have an afib event, less chance he’ll have a blot clot.

I think, in his case, the forever taking of blood thinners is a scam.
