I've been to Gonzales, its history is awesome. Have you seen the cannon they fought the Mexican Army over?

Some people are disappointed to see the size of it, fired a projectile about the size of a golf ball. To me, that just shows the greatness of the people of Gonzalez. IIRC, 13 men from Gonzales, including CPT Dickinson, perished at the Alamo.

I've been a naturalized Texan since 7/8/1976, when I went on active duty at Fort Bliss. You can't understand the greatness of Texas without knowing its history. BTW, I learned a lot about Texas history from reading the novel "Texas" by James Michener.
