If you commit a Felony in NY, it’s hidden, and you’re out in several hours. Back on the streets.
Blocking the photos and arrest information puts the Public in danger.

This protects and empowers the guilty criminals.
When was that a good idea?
Since the Miranda rights readings and identity of witnesses being handed over to defense lawyers, criminals who are GUILTY get away with more crimes.
