On Sunday, a deranged murderer was stopped by Eli Dicken within 15 seconds.

Fortunately, Eli was carrying a concealed hand gun.

More lives would have been lost if it wasn’t for Eli’s heroics.

But I didn't know how great was his shoot until now!!!

Incredible accuracy. Providence. This is why we need the Second Amendment!

I have to believe a Red Dot was on the weapon.

It really makes aiming with both eyes open easier for me.

I believe that's essential for a shot at this range.

Also, somebody needs to ask where he got his training.

I read in another article that Dickens was resting on a “low-slung wall” which I thought would have definitely steadied his aim.

But the video shows no wall, so perhaps not.

Regardless, great shooting!

Those aren't OEM Glock factory sights. Factory sights are teh suck. Not so much because the sight picture is strange (which it is) but more because they're made from plastic. Considering they're mounted on one of the world's toughest guns, plastic couldn't be more out of place than if they were made from papier mâché.

They're so bad that many Glock aficionados refer to them as "sight place holders" because their most important role is to keep the dust out of the dovetails cutouts until you can mount some proper sights.

If Eli was running factory sights, his shot was all the more remarkable.

Plus it's incredible that such a young man could remain so composed under so much stress.

Bullets go in fairly straight lines. They go a long ways away very fast. Finesse and discipline are the key.

For anyone who ever played baseball beyond little league, 40 yards is 120 feet and second base is 122 feet from home plate. Scaling any shot is important. Using a known distance to calm the nerves (pistol) or dialing in drop and windage (rifle).

God Almighty gave him Psalm 144:1 ability to make it under fire. No doubt. SGT York taught us that stopping killers saves lives.

Some FR “experts” were telling us it had to be 40ft, not 40 yds.

I coulda made that shot ...... back in the day. My best offhand shot was at 50 yards with a six inch barreled Colt Python and handloads that put it at right around 38 special +P. Standing two handed (Jack Weaver stance), best group was 1 1/2 inches.

I coulda easily hit a man sized target at 40 yards. But back then I practiced ....... a lot. Not so much anymore.
