The really sad part is even after they have betrayed their voters, they still get re-elected, just because they wear an R jersey.

Flimsey Grahamnesty had voted for amnesty THREE times by 2014 and has been re-elected TWICE since.

Micro Rubio and John Hoeven are up this year and will probably be re-elected to vote for amnesty again.

No joke. I would love to see the Republicants go the same route as the Whig Party.

The dark side is at the local level too. That’s where they shut out the conservatives and establish the RINOs.

Cowards, no; collaborators, yes.

And the WFB is just as complicit with its baloney headline.

While the Lizard was “removed” from her formal leadership position, as a practical (de facto) matter she is still seen as a party functionary. Despite her outrageous antipathy toward Trump and her open support for Democrats the GOP still embraces her.

Don’t worry, McCarthy and McConnell will tamp down any enthusiastic Republicans that want to pursue justice after the big red ripple.

How do you get them out?

McConnell demonstrated how they shut out conservatives back when he was re-elected as Senator.

“Four months out from a crucial election and the Republicans still have no idea what they’re going to do. Pathetic.”

When you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there. Mitch McConnell rejected a new “Contract for America” campaign, preferring the typical RINO “we are not as bad as the Democrats” campaign with no promises to the voters and plenty of back door contracts with the donor base. He and the other GOP power brokers want to go back to the pre-Trump campaign and rule practices.

GOP voters are completely disgusted with Democrat rule and the weakness of the Republican Party. The conventional wisdom is they will turn out in numbers to vote Republican (as usual) in protest, without any promises from GOP politicians. They may be fooled if a sizable percentage of the voter base is turned off and simply decided voting for the lesser of two evils is evil so conservatives stay home.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are highly dissatisfied with the Biden administration and certainly middle class and working class Democrats are feeling economic pain. Will they turn out in mass to support Democrat candidates?

The wild card seems to be the January 6 commission. Will it refer charges against Trump to Merrick Garland and will the DOJ indict Trump a month before the election. If so, will the GOP in unison condemn the move or will Lindsay Graham, McConnell, McCarthy, Romney, and others equivocate or stay silent as they have with the January protesters denied rights of due process? If Trump is arrested, and the GOP leadership doesn’t express unified outrage, the conservative voter base may just stay home and hand the Democrats an undeserved supermajority in Congress.

With a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, and a majority in the House, court packing, impeachment of conservative Supreme Court members, and even a suspension of the Constitution under a presidential emergency order, are possible. Articles are popping up in publications and in televised new stories claiming the Constitution is inherently racist and obsolete. Communist dictatorships almost always begin with suspension of the old Constitution under emergency decree and its replacement with a progressive modern constitution giving absolute power to the tyrants who have seized power.

More like “because of” rather than “despite”.

will result in McCarthy as Speaker

In actuality Paul Ryan will be the de facto Speaker. McCarthy is just his errand boy.

Of course they know what they’re going to do. They’ll continue to collaborate with the other half of the Uniparty.

Senators are much harder to unseat than House members.

We proved with Eric Cantor that House members, even sitting Majority leaders, can be taken out in the primary.

Assuming that the GOP takes the House or Senate the focus should be to force The Big Guy to pardon Hunter, his brother and others and then impeach *him*...for the obvious reasons.

The Republicans have an EPIC opportunity to finally take charge and do what’s necessary to halt the leftist agenda.

This really could be a defining moment for the party.

But I have zero confidence that they want to lead and even less confidence that they will do anything to advance the conservative agenda.

The GOP simply is what it is. A pathetic excuse for a party.

Local police told inquiring neighbors that federal agencies are declining to enforce the judicial anti-picketing law...

That is, until people start picketing/protesting in front of Kagan's or Sotomeyer's house...

I like Jordan. I suspect most of us like Jordan. He is going to have the most important and potentially powerful chairmanship in congress come January.

I fully expect to be very disappointed because he will NOT buck McCarthy.

Jordan is not MTG and it pains me to say it but most of us will probably view him much as we now view Trey Gowdy. A great wordsmith who could make us cheer in a hearing but when it comes to action - all hat and no cattle.
