Just goes to show you that Billy Carter, clearly an experienced beer drinker, will say anything in exchange for a little money.
I never did try that beer, I was only about 15 when it came out. I would like to have tried it. If I had to name the worst beer I ever did try, it would have to be Meister Brau. I'm not sure if they even make that anymore either.
Speaking of Billy, he was a shameless grifter for sure, but it probably would have been fun to hang out at the filling station in Plains with him, over a few cans of beer. I'm sure he had some stories.
Yeah.. they sold Meister Brau around here for $3.99 / 12 pack.. and that was too expensive. It’s funny you mentioned that because when I wrote that first post I almost said ‘it tasted a lot like Meister Brau.’
