How can you tell when an organization knows the end is near? They start shredding documents and deleting files. It’s a movie trope that is being played out in real-time right now on Capitol Hill as powerful Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff has just filed an Amendment to the NDAA that will coverup their failures, corruption, and wrongdoing ahead of the midterm elections.
It’s arguably the most blatant abuse of power we’ve seen from Congress in years, which is saying a whole lot in an age of J6 inquisitions and unwarranted presidential impeachments. The amendment reads:
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any information obtained by or with the assistance of a member of the Armed Forces in violation of section 1384 of title 18, shall not be received in evidence in any trial, hearing, or other proceedings in or before any court, grand jury, department, officer, agency, regulatory body, legislative committee, or other authority of the United States, a State, or a political subdivision thereof.

You know the beauty of that kind of language? The very next Congress can just pass a law that says “Nothwithstanding any other provision of the law, this evidence CAN be used” and it overrules Adam Shifty’s little provision too.
I wonder how much more his eye would bug out after being in a hangman’s noose?

Mitch McConnell has defended the Committee and said their findings are very important, and Lindsey Graham was screaming for Capitol Police to shoot the people standing in line, and they all protected the Identity of the guy that shot unarmed Ashli Babbitt.
Anyone expecting oversight from a GOP Senate was born yesterday and is horribly gullible.

Congress can pass laws with a 2/3 vote in each house, even if the President vetoes the bill. Without a 2/3 vote in each house, Congress cannot squat, unless the President approves the bill.
Pretty sure his head would pop off first.
Section 1384 of title 18 is about prostitution near a military base. Does not even make sense in this context? Maybe a member of the military that hires a prostitute can’t testify against them?

Seems Schiff is trying some CYA. Doesn’t want any military personnel to be able to rat about him and others in the prostitution areas.
If this group of jackals can pass it the next group of jackals can rescind it.
Since almost all the trials would be held in Washington D.C. or another Hard Left metro area, and since the prosecutors would be career DOJ swamp creatures, convictions are impossible.
Hopefully, the next GOP President will do what Trump refused to do - instantly declassify and release every politically sensitive executive document that Conservatives ask for.
Second best plan, obviously, but it might help us win some close elections.
