Schiff is a self important idiot and likes attention enough to take credit for something he can’t do. He also knows that this panel can refer Trump to Garland for a possible indictment. I doubt that will happen because the hogwash presented by their committee may not pass the smell test officially. Face it, no one on that panel is there to challenge the so called evidence or refute any of it.
That said they are hoping their show trial will damage Trump enough so that he will decide to not run.
The midterm elections could be interesting and may determine whether Trump runs.
