Yup.

I was a critic of Azov in 2014 despite seeing the provocations on both sides behind the conflict (Yanukovych and his prime minister sabotaging the EU trade deal and locking Ukraine into a Russian takeover - you don’t have to be a supporter of neonazis and ultranationalists yo see how that was a massive propaganda gift yo them.)

But the wind-down in 2019 and 2020 was like tge early years of the Good Friday Agreement. Where the IRA decommissioned before the loyalists, and splinter groups on both sides refused to accept the peace process.

By the logic of the Putinistas here, Britain should’ve been so fed up with Continuity IRA and the Real IRA (and so blinkered about there being equally bad apples on the loyalist side) that we had every moral right to

1. Conduct a Special Military Operation
2. Send tanks onto the streets of Belfast
3. Laid siege to Derry before flattening it
4. Started another potato famine
5. Pulverised Craigavon, Portadown and Armagh

Which sounds so utterly disproportionate, completely counterproductive without it being followed by a brutal long term occupation, and morally indefensible.

No sane Freeper would ever give Bad old Britain the benefit of the doubt if we ever went down that road. But we wouldn’t go there. Ever.

But all of that is peanuts in scale to what Russia is doing now. And not only do people flatly ignore what Russia is doing, they deflect.

An honest debater argues that Russia is behaving very badly, so was Ukraine, one doesn’t justify the other, and the USA should avoid getting dragged into a European land war. This is an EU and UN matter.

But the Old World Order (UN) was not fit for purpose and if both Russia and the USA can’t be bothered with it anymore the only sensible question is, what does an acceptable NWO look like. Is it Russian aggression with Chinese aggression in a world of “might means right” or not.

A dishonest debater paints Russia as a victim after it has invaded four ex Soviet countries, threatened two more, and gone on world TV to say “all our hope is in the famine” knowing that the Horn of Africa interprets that as a deliberate policy of inciting the starvation of millions to force tge West into letting it have the ability to turn the grain supply on and off whenever it likes in future.

A Russian troll offers no counterargument to this, no breakdown, no evidence, just a circle jerk of subjective op-eds and conspiracy theories where the NWO of Schwab/WEF/Globohomo is the only horror show in town and the Russian “parry like Stalinism” alternative is a paragon of niceness becayse buried deep within the nihilistic sadism there’s a nugget that’s pro life, pro gun and anti homo.

Well, I guess that makes Stalinism Plus-Plus NWO all okay then!!! /Sarc.

Notice jow

I am unfortunately very dense. It took me a long time figure out that we weren’t winning our wars.
I have watched wars from Vietnam to our current debacle in the Middle East. I have always supported these not-really-wars, thinking that was the same as supporting the troops. .
Our troops have always fought well, but the conflicts have never turned out well (were Panama and Grenada exceptions?). The conflicts were lost, not on the battlefield, but in government offices.
I love our troops too much to keep sending them on futile errands. I won’t support any further ‘wars’ until we change our ways and go after enemies the intent to annihilate them. I certainly won’t support any more wars under our current leadership or on behalf of the UK or the Euroweenies.

“...buried deep within the nihilistic sadism there’s a nugget that’s pro life, pro gun and anti homo...”

Nice wording there ... But outside of de jure positions the LGBTQP seems to flourish in big cities even in Russia. It seems to be a worldwide tidal wave.
