Ukraine Situation Report: Russians Renew Missile Attacks From Belarus
Russian bombers struck from Belarus for the first time Saturday while it appears Sievierodonetsk has finally fallen to Russian forces.

A wave of six Russian Tu-22M3 “Backfire” bombers launched 12 Kh-22 cruise missiles from Belarusian airspace at ground targets in Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy oblasts.

Putin to transfer nuclear capable missiles
••Lithuania:
President says, contrary to EU wishes, they are not going to allow transfer of Russian goods through the corridor to Kalingrad.
••Wagner Group:
Its founder in Putin’s inner circle awarded Hero of Russian Federation for actions in Ukraine.
The group was formally split into 4 groups. Can function all together or be separately used somewhere else. They have their own aircraft and full scale anti-air systems, missiles etc; are becoming an elite army within the RGF.
••HIMARS:
ZSU has 12 wheeled launchers. (Edit: 4 {Transporter Erector Launchers} TELs with 3 launchers each). Used with no apparent strategy, seems to be used as propaganda tool. Russian approach is using large quantities to overcome enemy. The ZSU, being essentially a Small Soviet Army, is using the same approach, except they do not have large quantities.
(Edit: the idea of precision strikes on high value targets at long distances, which will attrit or cripple the enemy, does not seem to have been learned. The troops were trained in the details of how the weapon works, but the High Command was not trained on targeting, it seems.)
••Railroads:
Ukraine and Moldova agreed to repair a railroad that allows Ukraine grain to move to ports on the Black Sea: through Moldova to Romanian ports. Grain profitabilyity and competitiveness predicated in Ukraine on short haul railroads with special rates. Grain shipped through Poland is too expensive and nobody will buy it. Repair will likely be completed sometime in September.

-Putin has called an obese, 20-stone former general out of retirement to fight;
-General Pavel likes to eat five meals a day and wash it down with a litre of vodka;
-Overall commander of Russian forces in Ukraine also reported to be dismissed;
-The ‘Butcher of Aleppo’ will be replaced by a ‘corrupt and brutal’ general;
-Last week the commander of Russian airborne forces was reportedly sacked;
-Reports suggest between 11 and 14 Russian generals have been killed in action.

Neither the Department of National Defence nor the office of Defence Minister Anita Anand would comment on the report published Saturday that noted a few dozen commandos from NATO countries, including Britain, France, Canada and Lithuania, had been working inside Ukraine. The United States withdrew its own 150 military instructors before the war began in February.
But the New York Times, citing three U.S. officials, reported that special forces from the NATO countries either remained or had gone in and out of Ukraine since then, training and advising Ukrainian troops and providing an on-the-ground conduit for weapons and other aid.”
