RE: will they be doing a study of Leviticus?
Yes, and also Romans Chapter 1.
You can bet your bottom dollar that they will find creative ways to reinterpret these passages.
Yep- i bet they create a god in their own image- one that doesn’t condemn their sin
I will just say this though-
IF MIT is serious, and they are teaching the whole truth to these lgbtq, including that their sins are abominations, and the lgbtq still want to learn about God as He truly is, to leave or gain victory over their sins- then my hats off to MIT AND to the students-
BUT i have serious doubts that this is the case- I hope I’m wrong, but knowing how lgbtq is infiltrating churches, i suspect that maybe I’m not wrong, and that these folks are no different and just want to defile the church, or at the very least, enjoy their sin while thinking they are being spiritual-

Over a decade ago, some gay Jewish theologian or rabbi wrote a book reinterpreting the Bible's views on sexuality. I forget his name or the title of his book.
He said that Leviticus was actually prohibiting sodomizing defeated soldiers after a battle. He said this was a common practice in the Mideast at the time, and Leviticus was teaching to show mercy to defeated soldiers.
He also said that the Bible places love and mercy above law. He cites Jesus healing on the sabbath. This means that prohibitions against gay sex are to be ignored if gay men actually love each other.
Although this author was Jewish, he tried to show that both the Old and New Testaments really weren't as anti-gay as people thought.
