Perhaps, but back during the time when he was running for Governor, rumors were going around about him being under investigation, the media covered for him and dismissed any accusation against him.
The accusations that during his time as Mayor of Tallahassee he was basically open for business, you paid him, you got things done, evidently that has come back to bite him in the ass.

But the question is why is this coming up now? Why would the FBI and DOJ go after ‘one of their own’ almost four years later??
