This is a bad idea.
That corridor between Kalingrad and Russia is basically indefensible.
The Russians could be stupid/crazy/desperate enough to seize it. They are already thinking about laying the legal groundwork for doing so.
This would bring NATO into the war. That’s what’s behind the boldness of the Lithuanians.
This would not be a good thing.
Granted there are a lot of bad actors who want this to happen—including in the USA.
But it won’t help anybody—including the Lithuanians and the Ukranians.
Rather it will only make a wider and more desperate and destructive war. Stated explicitly, a wider war increases the chances that the Ukranians get nuked. The Russians will think they will have to destroy Ukraine in order to save it. And bring the war to a quick close.
People think there will be winners and losers in this war. But the longer the war drags on and the wider the war becomes the more it is guaranteed that the none of the combatants will be winners.

Russian troops made significant progress today by capturing Myrna Dolyna and Pidlisne putting Ukrainian troops in Zolote area in tactical encirclement.
