Operatively the situation in our area is consistently tense, but controlled.

To prove its power, it uses the tactics of dispersed, but almost simultaneous missile strikes in combination with multiple launch rocket systems or artillery.

So, in the morning at the same time cruise missiles attacked Nikolaev and Ochakov, affected the port infrastructure, destroyed trucks, damaged buildings of enterprises and electrical networks. In parallel, the Multiple Launch Rocket System "Hurricane" shelled residential areas of Nikolaev. At the same time, prohibited cluster munitions were again used. One of the cassettes exploded right in the courtyard of a private house. There were two men there. One was killed on the spot, the second was injured, and doctors are fighting for his life.

In a few hours, MLRS also shelled Ochakov, there are wounded. A little later, strategic aircraft fired 4️⃣ missiles at the water area and berths of the port. There were no injuries.

The final results are being studied. Кораб️ a ship grouping of enemy forces in the amount of 5️⃣ missile ships, 3️⃣ BDC and 1️⃣ submarine, carry the threat of a missile strike 4️⃣ 4️⃣ cruise missiles.

At the same time, stormy weather does not contribute to the landing of troops. Instead, sea waves increase the likelihood of being hit by sea mines. 🔘 One of these dangerous "Wanderers" was discovered in the Odessa region. The mine detonated uncontrollably in the immediate vicinity of the water's edge of one of the beach areas. Beach buildings were damaged, fortunately there were no visitors on the coast, no one was injured.

Also, the sea again brought a mine to the coast of Koblevo. The Defense Forces destroyed it by controlled detonation a few meters from the shore, there was no damage or injuries.

The hundred nineteen era of heroic confrontation of the Ukrainian nation to the Russian military invasion began.
Occupiers continue to launch missile and air strikes on military and civilian infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
In Volyn and Polísʹkomu directions, the units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, the main efforts focus on reconnaissance, engineering equipment positions and state border security.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy, in order to demonstrate its presence, holds up to three battalion tactical groups and airborne units in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy fired with mortars and barrel artillery at the settlements of Middle Buda, the Myropillia of Sumy region, and the settlement of Gremyach of Chernihiv region.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is conducting air reconnaissance to detect the locations of our troops. The aggressor conducted intensive artillery shelling of Ukrainian positions near Kharkiv, Old Saltov, Rubížnogo and Chepil. In addition, the enemy fired with barrel and jet artillery at civilian infrastructure in the areas of Ukrainka, Petrivka, Shevelivka, Basilievka and Prudyanka.

In the Slavic direction, the occupants are making a systematic fire impact in order to create conditions for the restoration of the performance on the city of Slavic. They are leading the storm. There is a fire impact from the jet systems of the zalpovogo fire near new dmitrívka, osinívka, kurulʹki, ivanívki and adamívki.

In the Donetsk direction, the opponent continues to focus the main efforts on the severodonetsk and bahmutsʹkomu directions in order to exit the administrative borders of Luhansk region.

The enemy is trying to establish full control over the city of Severodonetsk, block the units of the Defense Forces in the areas of Borivske and Voronove, the combat is ongoing.
In order to reinforce, the opponent regrouped troops in the Bakhmutsʹkomu direction.

Ukrainian soldiers in the direction of Mironivka - Semyhirya fought back the assault in the direction of Vuglegírsʹkoí в TES. Also stopped the offensive towards molodížne - katerinívka. The enemy has moved away.

In the Kramatorsky, Avdiivsky, Novopavlovsky and Zaporizhzhia directions, the opponent is conducting combat operations in order to freeze the actions of the Defense Forces units and prevent their transfer to threatening directions. He fired at the areas of Andriivka, Novodonetske, Old Ukrainka and Gulyajpole. Made an aviation strike near Krasnogorivka.

In the Pívdennobuzʹkomu direction, the opponent focuses the main efforts on preventing the arrival of our troops. He didn’t take any active actions. At the same time, there was a fire impact from barrel artillery and jet base fire systems in the areas of Tavriyske, Shevchenko, Kiselivka, Kvitneve. Launched an air strike near Bila Krynytsia.
The Russian aggressor continues to block civilian shipping. In readiness for the use of missile weapons in the Black Sea aquator, there are six carriers of winged rockets of marine base type “Caliber”.

Strike groups of Ukrainian stormmen and bombers, under cover of fighters, carry out air strikes in hostile positions. About 10 combat armored vehicles were eliminated, live enemy power and several ammunition warehouses were destroyed. Our artillery continues its combat work successfully.

I agree in general terms but (BANG) there goes another general.

My actual point is this — if Zelensky accepted a settlement that was in Russia’s favor, could Ukraine count on Putin to honor that settlement, or would it just be a pause for re-deployment and further “de-Nazification” exercises?

I think there’s a certain amount of political capital available for NATO leaders to insist on an end that gives up control of certain areas to Russia, but no real capital for a two-part process that sees the eventual disappearance altogether of Ukraine into a greater Russia.

And certainly among the Ukrainian people there would be little or no support for that. The most Putin could hope to achieve would be annexation of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk. Anything beyond that would lead to a permanent state of hostilities which, despite the brave talk, would probably be a problem for Russia longer term. The longer we go into the future with this situation, the longer time frames European nations have to find alternative sources of energy; for example, Canada has liquid natural gas technology but at present it is mostly oriented to the Pacific basin market. It would take a year or two to set up deliveries to Europe that were cost-effective. There are probably many other alternatives to Russian gas too.
