China has unfinished business with Japan from WW2. I can’t see them standing by in a major skirmish and if the Chicoms get overturned internally you have a billion and a half people with no direction.

The Russians are successfully changing their tactics. They are no longer attacking with armored vehicles. Instead they are locating Ukrainian positions and pulverizing them with artillery and aerial attacks. During the big battles of WW II the majority of deaths were from artillery barrages. When accurate they are devastating. The Ukrainians have little counter battery capability. If they are smart they will revert to small unit tactics and abandon the concept of fortifications. Also they will cease talking on radios and cell phones. the Russians are learning fast. Wonder if our own military leaders are appreciating the hard lessons of this war.
