We Now Know Who's Pushing Biden on Student Loan 'Forgiveness' and Why
TOWNHALL ^ | 06/05/2022 | Leah Barkoukis

President Biden is inching closer to “forgiving” student loans—a move that is not only illegal but profoundly unfair to hardworking taxpayers, most of whom never went to college. Others who did go made sacrifices to pay off their loans and are now deeply resentful that a swath of borrowers may have their debts cleared. Now we know why President Biden is actually entertaining such a foolish idea to cancel up to $10,000 of debt per borrower.

According to a conversation between The Washington Post’s James Hohmann and The Bulwark’s Charlie Sykes, Georgia Democrats Stacey Abrams and Raphael Warnock are putting tremendous pressure on the administration to move on student loan “forgiveness.” Abrams argues it’s the only way to get the base to turn out.

LOL! Go ahead and do it Biden.

This is another “brilliant” idea that can only result in a spectacular own goal for the Donkeys.

I mean, seriously, where does Joe Biden think this groundswell is going to come from, except for this small group of highly-entitled college graduates who dominate the staffing and the inner workings of the Democratic party?

From the article. Lots to think about there..............

That's rich!

Only 13% of voters have student loan debt.

But the real grifters are upset that only $10k is being forgiven.....

Joe is even failing at vote buying!

Is there anyway Democrats can put a reparations bill together before the election?

You mean taxpayers must eat the debt of the entitled snowflakes who can’t seem to find employment suitable to pay for their gender/queer/black/women’s studies degrees? Gosh, whoda thunk it? I wonder how STEM grads are navigating these waters of debt.

If they would eliminate bloated departments of diversity and “studies” colleges, and bloated management and overpayed unfirable professors who have ESL TAs do all of the teaching anyway and simply educated students in practical majors while allowing open research and only allowed students who have demonstrated they are prepared for the rigors of a real education, the average Joe could probably afford to attend.

I'm all in favor of forgiving a maximum $10K or $15K per borrower. In return, Fedzilla would have to get out of the student loan business (including guaranteeing the same).

The remaining loans would be sold off with the students and institutes of origin jointly liable. They can set up a repayment plan and/or have their assets (including endowments) attached.

Taxpayer gets short-term pain in return for destruction or at least severely damaging the market for useless degrees.

I recall 5-10 years ago at A LOT of univs were making extravagant add ons to lure students. New fancy dorms, incredible gym facilities. Wild food courts... It seemed unbelievable. This crap should shake out....and I don’t mean getting rid of signed on for debt.

Stop with “the taxpayers”.

Taxes make up less than half of Federal spending. The “student loans” are direct grants to mind control organizations set on our destruction, and because they would not pass Congress (not yet, anyway) as line items, they are written off the books as “debts” owed by teenagers who are never going to repay them.

AND THE STATE KNOWS THAT. They pay the colleges by printing (creating) money. The students get tagged as the obligors. Taxpayers have nothing to do with it.

If the government were limited to what they can collect in taxes, the State would collapse tomorrow.

Full disclosure: I sincerely oppose this. But, if they’re going to do squander money, for once they’re going to squander it in me. Because of my income almost all my son’s loans are in my name. He’ll get almost all of what his name cancelled and it looks like I’m on the right side of the income line to benefit from this pork.

That said: These people are dangerous and destructive enough though they’re imbeciles. If they were smart they’d be so much more dangerous. They’re trying to mimic Obama’s “evolving” over gay marriage, the research and deep reflection resulting in an advantageous enlightenment at just the right time.

But ideas are perishable, and they’ve waited too long on this one to try to time it against the election. They have to do it, or their hard core overeducated lunatics will revolt. But a backlash has built. I’d predict the net electoral result will be neutral at best as republicans in rural states will be able to roast their opponents over this elite-pandering action

biden and the other insane politicians want to increase the price of college so much that they can begin crying “Free College!” which will increase the cost even more.
