I would still not use State Farm after this. They will just do a go-around for the LGBTQxyz groups. I am so effing tired of the LGBTQ lobby taking so much energy to take over our country. God is watching and I’m sure He is not pleased. If State Farm goes broke...GOOD! Maybe other companies will realize they are dealing a losing hand.
I recently decided Academy Sports would be my “go to” store, mainly because I had not heard them being woke. Here’s the subject line of an email they sent me on June 1st:
“Celebrate with Pride!”
I have bought literally thousands of dollars worth of firearms and ammunition from this company over the years. After Obama was elected I went to Academy and bought 4 guns...just because. I will never give them another dollar. I don’t know why companies think getting involved with this stuff is a good idea.
“According to the article, one agent, who has a FB ‘private’ page for SF agents (4000) only said that 99% of them were ‘pissed’ about this b.s. and wondered specifically who in SF greenlighted this crap.”
i believe it ... my own SF agents are friends AND they are extremely conservative ...
stunning. I don’t get it either and it’s getting harder to find companies that stick strictly to business.
All executives who signed off on the freako madness needed to fired—immediately and publicly.
There must be consequences—words don’t cut it.
So you're all hunky-dory with them now. I don't think that I will comment any further...
This kind of crap usually happens because the people who actually deal with the business of the company don't want to bother addressing the social crap. So they delegate that to some VP, or to committee within the company to handle so they don't have to worry.
So then the VP/committee comes up with a plan, write a memo, and bigwigs who make the decision don't bother reading it because they can't stand dealing with that stuff in the first place. They see some books listed, don't bother investigating, and so sign off on it and then move on to more important matters. That's how stupid ideas get approved without the bigwigs fully realizing what they've approved.
Then it all goes public, there's a blow up, and they realize in a panic that they actually approved this without even realizing what they had done.
I am sure that there are some companies where the leadership takes a more active role and does this deliberately, and perhaps State Farm was one of those. But I can guarantee that the scenario I outlined is not uncommon.
The best article that I have seen on this subject is on the April/May 2022 “Imprimis” (A publication of Hillsdale College)-”Laying Siege to the Institutions” by Christopher F. Rufo-
https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/
Like the author said: “The leftists didn’t give up on their dream...”
Correct-o! They are relentless. Just when you think they’ve failed, they just re-jigger the terms of their attack.
Thanks for posting this link.
I suggest that it would be better for companies to support NO social cause and leave that to individuals
From a practical standpoint all I really care about is the cost of insurance. I had a good run with my original agent that lasted about 20 years. He sold his business to another agent and I had another positive 5+ year run with that agent. The latest agent was just the worst. My insurance rates were increasing on a steady basis even though I am retired. When I tried contacting they would never return phone calls or email on a timely basis. I cut my insurance rates by a third+ by switching to a different insurance company...
State Farm sucks. I had them for years and they screwed me over good after a house fire.
I will never stop talking crap about them till I die.
You are right, State Farm sucks.
I have a plan to do a parody commercial on youtube.
It will feature Snake from Fake Farm beating the crap out of everyone that tries to file a claim.
I blame a lot of this on United Way infiltrating the board room. Some exec voted his conscience or politics and thought everyone else in the company should too.
I never played and probably paid for it in at least one company I worked for. The reason I didn’t play is principles. One of I didn’t sign on for such coercion and the other is I couldn’t support what was being paid for.
They cancelled my insurance while my house was being fixed from a fire. Who does that? State farm sucks!
Well said.
When JCP put the gay parents on the front of their Mother’s Day and Father’s Day catalogues, my MIL cut up her JCP credit card and hasn’t shopped there since. She was a ‘Rosie the Rivetor’ in WW2, a farm woman who grew and canned all of her own food and furnished her house and wardrobe with JCP items.
These companies don’t care about me or you - they are dead set on destroying America by destroying the family and giving the children to pedophiles.
