(Edit: Contract into supply 145 M777. M777’s use titanium to lighten the overall weight to 9300lbs - titanium comes from ... Russia. Cost is ~USD$4 million per unit. Can be towed by ordinary pickup.

45,000 shells went with the first batch of 18 M777 Howitzers, and 144,000 shells went with the second batch of 72 Howitzers, up to 50,000 of the shells are of the Excalibur type. This works out to be ~2000 ordinary shells and ~550 Excalibur shells per unit. An Addition 10 777s were sent by other countries.

The built-in GPS-satellite real time targeting system was removed and something else substituted, which is almost as good. This will help make up for UA’s lack of good artillery drones.)

Summary: Ukrainian forces are losing control over Severodonetsk. We expect that on June 1, 2022 it will be lost.
Key areas:
- Izyum bridgehead: no changes.
- Lyman bridgehead - only Svyatohirsk bridgehead remains in Ukrainian hands.
- Severodonetsk - Ukrainian troops lost most of the town
- Popasna area: no changes.

- Kherson bridgehead: attack by Ukrainian troops from Davydiv Brid towards Beryslav is apparently stopped by Russian artillery and air strikes. No changes.

1. Kharkiv: no changes, Ternova is captured by Russian forces, Rubizhne is in UA hands. Low intensity fighting.
••Northern artillery battle continues.

2. Izyum bridgehead. It is extremely dangerous penetration by Russian troops that potentially could lead to large pocket for Ukrainian troops west of Donetsk. Many Russian units from there were transferred to a salient near Popasna to exploit initial successes of Russian troops there. No changes today.

3. Lyman bridgehead. Only Svyatohirsk remains under Ukrainian control. Ukrainian forces lost village Yarova near Svyatohirsk today.

4. Rubizhne: captured by Russian troops

5. Severodonetsk - Ukrainian troops are losing control of the town pretty quickly - they lost all of the town, only industrial facilities (”Azot” chemical plant) are still in Ukrainian hands. It’s possible that by morning Ukrainian troops fully evacuate Severodonetsk bridgehead.
••UA holds only part of the industrial zone. Fighting retreat.
••City will shortly be lost win next 24-36 hours.
••Western bank of the river is 120-150 meters above the city.

6. Popasna area. No Russian advances today.

10. Velyka Novosilka - Gulyapole stretch of frontline. No changes.

11. Kherson bridgehead: Ukrainian army attacked from area near Davydiv Brid, pushed into Russian defenses till village Bruskynske (controlled by Ukrainian army). Russian troops failed in their attempt to counter-attack and cut off Ukrainian forces.
However, Ukrainian troops were stopped in Bruskynske by Russian artillery fire and air attacks.
Russian troops retreated to village Kostromka and regrouping their for a new counter-attack. No changes today.

As many as 700 men Ukrainian soldiers are dying or being wounded every day fighting against Russian Federation (RF) forces, President Volodymyr Zelensky said in comments widely reported in Wednesday news reports.

Casualties are heaviest in the Donbas region, but Ukraine Armed Forces (UAF) units also are talking continuous losses in the northern Kharkiv and southern Mykolaiv-Kherson regions, Zelensky said, in a May 31 evening television statement.

Between 60 and 100 Ukrainian soldiers are being killed in combat, and “around 500” are injured every twenty-four hours, Zelensky said. Since the Russian Federation (RF) Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine, official Kyiv has kept numbers of military dead and wounded secret, excepting rare Presidential statements.
