Yes, my Dad fell and was “down”, unable to get up, for (we think) about 3 days. He suffered dehydration and hypothermia. Probably had at least a small stroke at some point. He “mostly” recovered but was never the same. :-(

Oh my! Your poor Dad! That would break my heart! I am so sorry that happened!

It’s amazing he recovered from that, so tragic he was never the same. Elderly people often don’t drink enough water, anyway.

When my elderly aunt started having bad brain fog and some other symptoms, including neurological, after a thorough check and finding nothing amiss, her doctor asked how much water she was drinking. Oops! Not enough. My uncle made sure she drank plenty of water throughout the day and she got right back to old self after a few days. Just adding this bit in case it’s of help to anyone.
