I actually saw a similar line in western Donbas tonight

Ukraine wireless is spotty

The folks Patrick interviewed were hesitant to talk negative of Ukrop forces since they have lived under them before and fear they could return if Russia and DPR leaves

Rarely ...maybe 1-2% I see ambivalent about who they prefer as rulers ...usually it’s they want autonomy

But a few of these said they were happy with Ukraine after Maiden till govt management went south ..

They just want safety and economic security

Just for naysayers here

The Uke govt sponsors several news folks and podcasts to smear Lancaster as a Russian spy ....just Google...globalist iinc front loads those hits of course

Lancaster is from Missouri
US Navy veteran on the Kitty hawk
Married to a Ukrainian Jewish gal of divided parentage Russian ethnic and Uke ethics
Ukrop has tried to kill him
Ukraine has lobbed missles inside Russia near his wife’s parents home where they fled to and she’s staying while he was visiting ...coincidence ?
Uk

He’s reported from various wars before this one and has been in Donbas eight years and lives usually in Donestk

He reports on both Ukraine and Russian atrocities

I’ve seen repeatedly say please watch reporting from both sides to get a better picture ...his words...”I report what I see and i report my interviews with civilians who have experienced the fighting amd bombing and he sometimes embeds with DPR soldiers on ops

I’ve seen him In a bunker taking direct hits from Ukrop arty where if they were in the open he’d be dead

I’ve also seen him shot at and almost hit ...several times scampering through rubble with Ukrop snipers firing at him

I’ve seen him rescue old and wounded civilians ....the only time I’ve seen Him condemn Uke forces..Azov...who were shelling and shooting civilians per the words out of the mouths of civilians he’s talking to

Some of it is heart rending...like digging up sidewalks in Mariupol to bury your dead children in the dirt temporarily while the surviving family is hunkered down under Ukrop shelling

That bunker bombardment was so hot only time I ever saw him fore up a smoke of camera ....rattled

The DRP guys were making jokes being nonchalant

There are a few other reporters in combat in Donbas

One is a French girli and the other I think Canadian

There is no comparative on the Uke side where reporters seem to be more photo op group things away from the battle field

Regardless your views it’s intense

Were he part of globalist media inc he’d already have a Pulitzer even though he is admittedly an amateur

Might be what makes him effective...that and his balls

His biggest scores are combat footage front lines on occasion and he lets the civilians talk ...when they feel safe to do so

I’ve seen him bring food and water in to those under fire in their homes and rescue wounded and elderly including kids from an orthodox nunnery where pre schoolers had been sheltered in wonderful thank goodness basement for months ...he brought DPR soldiers personally to get them out

Like I said ....expand your knowledge and make up your own minds

YouTube of course censors him ever chance

https://youtu.be/B6Lpn3lDHDY

https://youtu.be/mdTjsHiJaLI

Now....any company learning how to effectively stymie drones is going to get rich

"Of course there would have been no need for the Minsk Accords if Russia had not backed an insurrection by the Russian minority in the two oblasts in the first place."

Russians wanted to be Russians, not the sacrificial pawns of Lenin (1922) and Khrushchev (1954).

None of this mattered when they were all citizens of the USSR. It mattered greatly after 1991, when the insane borders of the patched-together borderland region called The Ukraine suddenly became a sovereign nation.

How many time do I have to debunk this false map? Ukraine declared independence with the present border (Crimea excepted) in 1917 and was recognized by the Russian Provisional Government. It was latter recognized by the Bolshevik government with the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in 1918. When the Bolsheviks conquered Ukraine in 1922 they did not reincorporate it into Russia but recognized it as a separate republic in the newly formed “Union” of Soviet Socialists Republics. In 1991 the two oblasts of Donetsk and Luhansk joined the rest of Ukraine and votes 84% for independence. In 1994 Russia guaranteed the Ukrainian borders with the Budapest Memorandum.

Ukrainian wanted to be Ukrainians, not the pawns of Moscow.

By the same logic, you must insist that Yugoslavia be put back together as a single nation within its internationally recognized 1918 borders.

Not at all. Just giving the lie to the false notion that the borders of Ukraine are artificial, that the easter and southern areas were taken from Russia and given to Ukraine in 1922 by Lenin for political reasons. Rather, Lenin was just recognizing the borders that the Ukrainians had themselves previously established. For reference, the borders of Ukraine according to the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in 1918 and agreed to by the Bolshevik government of Russia:

Again with the exception of Crimea, the borders of Ukraine represent the area of the Ukrainian population. Even Donetsk and Luhansk (i.e. Donbas) have majority Ukrainian populations.

Yeah, you have convinced me. The 27th, (or 32nd, or 59th, or 73rd) historical border revision in The Borderland aka The Ukraine is absolutely worth pushing right up to Nuclear WW3 to enforce.

You win. Let the bombs fly. The 1922/1954/1991 “The Ukraine” borders are 100% worth destroying the entire planet over.

You win. You have convinced me.

So everyone should just give in to Russia because they are threatening nuclear war? Should we then give in when they want Poland back? How about East Germany?

It is easy to be generous with land when it is someone else’s land. But at least be honest and say that you want Ukraine to surrender because you do not want to suffer. Do not try to pretend that Russia actually has any justification for a partition of Ukraine.

Oh, brother....sheesh. Leaning forehead on keyboard, deep breaths....

I will agree with you as soon as you get reparations from Great Britain for my ancestors who were murdered in the Irish Holodomor Genocide / forced Potato Starvation (while British-ruled Ireland was exporting cattle and grain to England).

And not to mention America giving Hawaii back to Hawaiians, after we out-and-out stole Hawaii (functioning govt, language, culture for 1,000 years) in 1898 at gunpoint because of “Muh Manifest Destiny”.

But suddenly you are Miss 1,000% Border Purity, parsing Borderland (The Ukraine) oblasts. But only YOUR oblast borders, chosen by YOU.

THE Ukraine, circa 1922/54/91, absolutely YES! Worth Nuclear WW3 to enforce!

Yugoslavia, circa 1918, absolutely NO! NATO, please, bomb the shit out of Serbia, and carve out Kosovo!

In fact, NATO can bomb the CRAP out of Serbia, because Our Motives Were Pure! Ditto Afghanistan. Ditto Iraq. Ditto Libya.

100s of thousands die, so what? Nations wrecked? So what? “We had good intentions, really!”

Don’t you see how petulantly childish you sound? (Actually, stupid?

I’m only continuing this silly repartee with you because every back and forth makes my case. So please, keep it up.

If I remember correctly, Ireland is now a free country and not under English rule.

You might be surprised to learn that I actually agree with you concerning Serbia.

The point is not that the borders of 1922 are somehow magical but that the present borders are not arbitrary nor the product internal Soviet politics. They represent the area with a majority Ukrainian population. Would you accept Russian rule over yourself in order to placate a nuclear armed Russia?

>>>>”If I remember correctly, Ireland is now a free country and not under English rule.”<<<<

YES! There is a sliver of hope for you! Parts of your brain work, neurons firing sporadically, and randomly, but that is progress!

The IRISH who were forced into the British Empire at gunpoint by Cromwell (check all the internationally recognized maps from 1610-1922, Ireland was legally a part of the UK) did not want to belong to the British Empire. So, over many decades, they rebelled.

THE RUSSIANS, FORCED INTO “THE UKRAINE” [then just another SSR of the USSR] BY LENIN IN 1922 and KRUSHCHEV IN 1954 DID NOT WANT TO BELONG TO “THE UKRAINE.”

Especially when it was ruled with an iron fist by Russia-hating Azov Bandera Nazis. SO THEY REBELLED.

This is not rocket surgery to understand. I feel like I am trying to spoon feed an angry infant in a high chair, who keeps spitting out the mashed peas, while trying to baby talk, “Mean Daddy Bad!”

I think that you have it backwards. It is the Ukrainians who do not want to be forced into Russia.

Whatever you say, boss.

But wouldn't a national divorce be better than nuclear WW3?

If the Czechs and Slovaks could do it, why not Russians and Ukrainians. Because this will just keep rearing it’s ugly head every 5-10 years, even when Putin is long gone.

Again with the misleading maps. Why not show the results of the 2014 election:

and 2019 election:

In the 1991 referendum on independence even Donetsk Oblast and Luhansk Oblast voted 84% for independence. The only ones that want to divide Ukraine are the Russians.
