I actually agree with her about out of state money especially in senate elections. The whole point about each state having the same number of senators and originally being appointed by the state legislatures was to make sure the most populous states couldn’t drown out the voices of the small states. I rather resent that the Hollywood and NYC crowd tried to force Beta O’Rourke on Texas in 2018.

The Senate is about creating, projecting, and protecting federal power. To some extent, returning state money after skimming off a federal take.

Federal senators TAKE power from the states they represent, and never return it.

As a consequence, every senator, as well as every representative, is a NATIONAL race, becuase the federal congress is all about strengthening and using the federal government. None of it is about reducing the federal government.
