RuZZia raised military age limit from 30 to 40, then 40 to 50, and now they removed all age limit restrictions.

Says ALOT...

Following Hitler’s 1945 enlistment policy to a tee. I guess next is grandmothers.

Putin is 69 and therefore eligible to fight on the front lines himself instead of sending young men to die for him.

UK Ministry of Defence:
(1/6) On 25 May, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Andrei Rudenko, said Russia is ready to provide a humanitarian corridor for vessels carrying food through the Black Sea in return for the lifting of sanctions.

(2/6) The minister also requested Ukraine de-mine the area around the port of Odesa to allow the passage of ships.

(3/6) Rudenko’s request for Ukraine to de-mine follows a core tenet of modern Russian messaging strategy: introducing alternative narratives, however unconvincing, to complicate audiences’ understanding.

(4/6) In this instance, Ukraine has only deployed maritime mines because of the continued credible threat of Russian amphibious assaults from the Black Sea.

(5/6) Russia has demonstrated is it prepared to leverage global food security for its own political aim and then present itself as the reasonable actor and blame the West for any failure.

(6/6) Russia’s attempt to achieve a reduction in the severity of international sanctions also highlights the stresses sanctions are placing on the regime.

(1/7) By 27 May, Russian forces had likely captured most of the town of Lyman, in the north of Donetsk Oblast, in what is likely a preliminary operation for the next stage of Russia’s Donbas offensive.

(2/7) Lyman is strategically important because it is the site of a major railway junction, and also gives access to important rail and road bridges over the Siverskyy Donets River.

(3/7) In the coming days, Russian units in the area are likely to prioritise forcing a crossing of the river. For now, Russia’s main effort likely remains 40 km to the east, around the Sieverodonetsk pocket

(4/7) but a bridgehead near Lyman would give Russia an advantage in the potential next phase of the Donbas offensive, when it will likely seek to advance on key Ukrainian-held cities deeper in Donetsk Oblast, Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.

(5/7) On 26 May 2022, head of the self-declared, Russian-backed Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, told Russian state-controlled media that a referendum would be held if Russia captured the entirety of Ukraine’s Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

(6/7) If Russia did succeed in taking over these areas, it would highly likely be seen by the Kremlin as a substantive political achievement and be portrayed to the Russian people as justifying the invasion.

(7/7) However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct a well-organised defence of the sector, and continue to impose a high level of casualties on Russia.

••Orlon 10 UAV:
One of the principle reasons the Orcs are doing so well with their artillery; makes them a deadly power on the battlefield; a reason why UA is not able to do successful offenses so far.

When it was first seen, people laughed at simplistic parts. Its camera was more than enough to correct Orc artillery fire. Nonetheless, the system was pushed further.

The RGF replaced old camera with a thermal imaging camera: uses a PICO640Gen2, 640x480, 17µm chip - can detect fast moving objects with enhanced image quality - sharp contrast, fluid smooth image, high uniformity. Now has 50mm lens and can see human-sized objects at 455m.

All of that was a very significant upgrade making it much more deadly than it was.

The circuit board used for navigation was not dependent on GPS talking it resistant to some anti-UAV guns. It flew using optical ground information. However, Orcs cannot make new boards and so they replaced the old board with a primitive GPS based circuit board. Now it is susceptible to GPS attacks. Its better for Orc Artillery, but easier to shoot down. Reason for downgrade unclear.

••(Kub (Cube) kamikaze drone cannot attack moving targets.

••Ukrainian Economy
Country’s Credit Rating was reduced to CCC+. Without foreign support Ukraine government will not be able to pay even its internal debt.

••Russian Economy
Russian government debt was technically almost in default this month, but it had made a pre-payment and avoided default. Next month’s payment will have no such fix, and it will fall into technical default (they have the money, just no means to pay it because the license to do so was revoked).

••Putin and Ze a new announce willingness to negotiate because things are bad both on battlefield and with their economies - forces political some sort of solution.

———————————————————————————————————————
Summary: Ukrainian forces are retreating from Lyman bridgehead after losing control over town Lyman.
Ukrainian troops are attacking Russian troops near village Davydiv Brid (Kherson bridgehead) and managed to advance to village Bruskynske, 10 km to south-east of Davydiv Brid.
The fighting is still going on, and Russian troops are trying to cut off this breakthrough and encircle attacking Ukrainian troops.
Situation is extremely difficult for Ukrainian army in the Severodonetsk salient.

Key areas:
- Izyum bridgehead: no changes.
- Lyman bridgehead - only Svyatohirsk bridgehead remains in Ukrainian hands.
- Popasna area: no changes.
- Svitlodarsk area: no changes.
- Donetsk West: no changes
- Kherson bridgehead: attack by Ukrainian troops from Davydiv Brid towards Beryslav

1. Kharkiv: no changes, Ternova is captured by Russian forces, Rubizhne is in UA hands.
Orcs claim UA artillery killed 2 border guards in northern shelling.

2. Izyum bridgehead. It is extremely dangerous penetration by Russian troops that potentially could lead to large pocket for Ukrainian troops west of Donetsk. No changes today.
Many Russian units from there were transferred to a salient near Popasna to exploit initial successes of Russian troops there.

3. Lyman bridgehead. Only Svyatohirsk remains under Ukrainian control. Ukrainian troops are in process of retreating from Lyman bridgehead after loss of town of Lyman.

4. Rubizhne: captured by Russian troops

5. Severodonetsk - slow squeeze of Ukrainian troops, main bridge connecting UA troops with the rest of UA is destroyed by RU artillery. Russian troops penetrated into town.
••Orcs have some hotels and bus station on northern outskirts.

••Frontlines seem to be stabilized so UA withdrawal not so urgent.

6. Popasna area. No new Russian advances today.
••Orc intensity dropped - running out of power
••UA 14th and 24th totally decimated and will be withdraw at some point.

7. Svtilodarsk area: No Russian advances today.

8. West of Donetsk: Avidyivka and Maryinka. Never ending attempts of the Russian side to break-through there. New point of attack - Pisky. No changes today.
••Avidyivka very important industrial center for Ukraine.

9. Vugledar is in Ukrainian hands. No changes today.

10. Velyka Novosilka - Gulyapole stretch of frontline. No changes.

11. Kherson bridgehead: Ukrainian army attacked from area near Davydiv Brid, pushed into Russian defenses till village Bruskynske (controlled by Ukrainian army). Russian troops are attempting to counter-attack and cut off Ukrainian forces.
••UA 35 NB, 63rd, and a few from 28th made it 10km behind Orc lines to Brucinske, unclear what actual situation is - was UA driven out of did they just stop there? Offensive following road to get to Crimea fresh water supply. Even if successful, not that big a deal militarily.

Immediate objective is Beryslav on the Dnipro River. Then try to capture the bridge-dam, but Orcs may be fast enough to blow it. If the Orcs blow the bridge and flood a lot of land under their control, it will be extremely difficult to supply their troops in the area and to recapture the whole area from Zolota Balka to Kherson. As a result all Orc troops will have to be evacuated.

I think there are at least 4 varieties of tanks judging by their exhaust manifolds - one of the principle identifiers

There was a great site I once found on how to identify all the Orc tank varieties, but I forgot to bookmark it and have never found it again - some sites like that one, but not as comprehensive.
