Oh please. As if the FIB did not know from the first instant that this was all “oppo research” - in other words, pure BS - being peddled by the Clinton campaign.

As if the characters involved didn't know each other and
didn't know exactly what they each do for a living.

He went to see his friend/former coworker/controller (whichever) who worked for the government...on their own...as a good citizen.

Barr would be much better off if he kept his mouth shut. He was in office and could have done something about Russiagate and the stolen 2020 election, but he was a spineless, ethicless politico who wouldn’t act. He was also the one that kept Wray in office as FBI Director even though we all knew how corrupt he was and how nothing would be done to clean up the FBI.

Does anyone have a running list of everything Trump was proven right about? The process seems to work like this - 1) Trump makes claims; 2) Media mocks claims made by Trump; 3) Trump’s claims are proven right; 4) Media ignores story.

-- The real problem was Jeff Sessions. The moment that idiot appointed Mueller ... --

Sessions recused because he was a member of the campaign that stood accused. Rosenstein as acting AG is the clown who appointed Mueller.

In hindsight, Sessions best move would have been to decline the appointment. Trump was pissed at Sessions for recusing. Could Trump have seen it coming and not appointend somebody from within his orbit? Doubtful.

Sessions was naive, he thought the institutions followed regulations and sought truth. Trust in the institutions is what burned him.

The loudest call for special counsel came from Congress - both parties. They knew it was a hoax too.

-- Somebody somewhere is already working on the next 'get Trump' scheme. --

There are probably 100 independent schemes to do just that. The entire professional political class and most courts are out to ruin Trump. He's a threat to the gravy train.

Forgot about the recusal, but now that you're rightly.reminded.me, I still think he was wrong for refusing himself. That was the first hint of blood in the water, and his recusal obviously was going to be followed by the appointment of a special counsel.

At the very least, he could have not recused himself, but appointed a special counsel who wasn't as brain dead an establishment tool as was Mueller. The appointment of a special counsel would have been sufficient to take the heat off him personally. But Sessions was never that bright.

He appointed Durham to cover for the FBI and DOJ. At least so far, it looks like Durham has been perfectly willing to point the finger at both institutions.

He squarely fit the description in the DOJ recusal regulations. Could have just said “no credible allegation of criminal wrongdoing” hence nothing to recuse from.

The appointment of Mueller (and the appointment of Durham) don’t follow regulations, so obviously the regulations are meant to be broken.

“No DOJ employee may participate in a criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political relationship with any person or organization substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution, or who would be directly affected by the outcome.” 28 CFR 45.2

Congress was a huge player in this hoax. But for Congress, this would not have escalated. Pretty much the entire government perpetrated a color revolution against POTUS. Banana republic level garbage.

"It isn't just a dirty political trick, it is criminal behavior. And not just by Hillary, but by anyone involved in this nonsense."

I'm of the opinion that ALL of Washington DC is nothing more a steaming pile of corruption.. Bribery, extortion and a very bad case of nepotism is destroying this once great nation.. And the DOJ is leading the way..

Without justice there is anarchy...

“And yet he did nothing about it.“

His lack of nothing has cost the Republic dearly. He knew and did nothing about Russia gate. He knew and did nothing about Comey and Mueller. He knew and did nothing about Trump revealing the truth about Ukraine illegal kickbacks to the Biden. He knew and did nothing about election fraud. Basically, he did nothing but hate Trump, and helped destroy the Republic.

And the bagpipes played on….

Winner, winner chicken dinner! What a disgrace this guy turned out to be he essentially jumped in with all the never trumpers but carefully toed the line to look like he was actually doing something constructive. A masterful beltway insider, Bill Barr. And while we’re on that subject the whole Mueller investigation was a sham they knew immediately that it was all a crock a crap but yet went on with the charade of finding something to stick on Trump. They really all should be in prison for sedition.

“we’re sorry Mr Trump” but if you run again we will do more and worse. And still will be sorry about that too but we can’t have ourselves
