We are talking about a guy that could have walked out of there alive if he surrendered but chose to fight to the death.
Somehow I don’t think the death penalty would have worked.

Probably not, but in my view way too many convicted murderers in this country who should have been executed were not. And more than a few are eventually released from prison and then commit additional assaults and murders. Ramos was known to be a violent threat, should have been evaluated by psychiatrists, and should have been placed in an institution for the criminally insane.
