I don't know more than I have posted. I just saw the statements published by the BBC, which is normally a fairly accurate media organization, and watched the tape of the interview with the local police department spokesperson.
The timing and sequence of what happened will get figured out at some point, but it appears that the officers on the scene stopped going after the shooter after their first exchange of gunfire. Watch the video of their spokesman, it sure seems like that is what happened from his statements.
Thanks. I’ll check it out. This entire situation is shocking and horrible for these poor people. It’s difficult to fathom how this happened.
It will probably take some time for the true story to emerge, but at this point it looks like we will have another situation where the strategy of police waiting for the SWAT team gets a bunch of kids killed.
