OOPS: Washington Post Admits Voting Surge in Georgia Despite New Election Law

Remember all the conniption fits thrown by much of the media last year over the new Georgia election law in which liberals declared it amounted to voter suppression? Even big companies in Georgia such as Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola went woke in denouncing the law. Major League Baseball also joined the political fray by moving the All-Star baseball game scheduled to be played in Atlanta out of the state.

Well, never mind. There has been a big change in voter turnout under the new law but instead of a suppressed vote, it has actually surged according to a report on page A-11 of Sunday's paper by Washington Post reporters Amy Gardner and Matthew Brown. The headline itself contradicts all the prophecies of voter suppression last year, "Voting is surging in Georgia despite controversial new election law."

Are they people people, or just ballots that show up at drop boxes at 3AM?

Supposed to be a big drop in “mail in” ballots. Something like 90% less mail ins.

Are they people people, or just ballots that show up at drop boxes at 3AM?

“”By the end of Friday, the final day of early in-person voting, nearly 800,000 Georgians had cast ballots — more than three times the number in 2018, and higher even than in 2020, a presidential year.””

A link to the article says “in person” but I had the same question you did and I’m not inclined to buy this after what we saw happen here in GA in 2020! I’d like to see the counties that account for those 800,000 votes. I’d be willing to be it’s the same 3-4 counties charged with cheating in 2020.

I don’t know why there needs to be ANY early voting ANYWHERE!

Stricter requirements on mail in ballots leads to more in person voting, early or on election day. I believe GA expanded early voting.

If only Nina Jankowicz had been on the job back then, she would have called out this horrible disinformation and Atlanta would have kept the All Star Game.

The chosen are picking their winner and voting for them all night long. No repercussions where they stays at.

“Voting is surging in Georgia despite controversial new election law."

Notice how everything the left doesn’t approve of is “controversial”?

“”I believe GA expanded early voting.””

I think so. It was one of the things that the democrats stupidly complained about and looked pretty foolish doing so. I should know as I live here but we can cram only so much into our already overflowing brains with the foolishness we’re confronted with every day.

The fraud machine is already hard at work here. That new election law is worthless.

What is “worthless” is the Washington Post and its’ team of unethical, psychopathic liars and their deliberate avoidance of “truths”, facts, and professional standards.

In fact if it weren’t for NO STANDARDS, the Post and NY Times would have NONE!
