The Russians will just keep on throwing conscripts into the meat grinder just as they did against the Germans. Welcome to the meat grinder Ukrainians...simple numbers problem. Only way the Ukrainians could win is if NATO throws in and hope that doesn’t happen with our current leadership.

Actually, they’re doing the opposite at this point, and instead pounding areas with artillery prior to moving forward, hence the slow pace. It’s only the Ukrainian defenders who are getting ground up, as they are not permitted to retreat and redeploy, but instead are ordered to fight to the end.
Things may change in the future, but that’s where it stands today.
