No the Liberal-Country Coalition has the more conservative voters on a normal day but now with COVID mandates on one side upsetting liberty minded conservatives and “climate change” Romney-Murkowski moderates chewing away the Coalition took it on the chin tonight.
That was my understanding as well. The national government has little to no control about health issues for the individual states. Each state made their own rules.

Liberals have one common feature they are pro big business free trade some Liberals like the ones in Australia signal some social conservatism modest by US standards.
In Canada the “Liberals” of Justin Trudeau awful social liberals but they keep the corporate tax rate low at 15 percent and have corrupt crony relationships with business evidenced in the SNC-Lavalin scandal during Trudeau’s rule.
