Every scenario I've read on this presupposes the Chicoms, or someone, has hit the US and Europe with EMP attacks rendering the grid and most communications null.

Now, IF that happens, and that's the opening scenario....it might be possible for China to try this.

However, the AF and Navy would still exist.

We'd still have a lot of subs in operation.

I also imagine we'd have some means of communication locally to organize some type of resistance.
