I guess Ms K. Barnette has been shut out of the primaries.
Oh well. Nothing is guaranteed, especially in republican politics. She said if she did not win the primary she would NOT be voting or supporting the winning GOP candidate.
I hope she changes her tune on that one.
Kathy could be very useful to the party, but she needs to lighten up (no pun intended). She could still make a name for herself.

I like Kathy Barnette in premise, and I think she'd be a pretty good US senator, but in practice, she has shown that she has a lot of work to do to be a success at that statewide level.

Taking a cheap "wifebeater" shot at Sean Parnell on twitter was a big tell for me, might have changed some last minute votes. Announcing on election day that she won't support the other candidates if they win is another misstep. She doesn't have to actually support those other candidates, maybe she curries clout and favor by picking some local swing districts and works for those candidates where she was most successful, but by making that explicit statement, it not only looks like sour grapes, it makes that statement the first question any journalist is going to ask her if she pops up on the campaign trail and it hurts her chances in future elections because whether we like it or not, party politics depends on building networks.

She said she had no intention of supporting globalists - a subtle difference, but a difference.

If the winning candidate can convince her he’s not a globalist, she left the door open - that’s reasonable in my book.

Also, keep in mind this is a ‘gotcha’ question from a hostile leftist press intended to put conservatives between a rock and a hard place - it presents a false choice:

A) Commit to voting for whichever Republican wins, thereby admitting that it’s all party politics, and your claims to be uniquely qualified were all BS…. Or,

B) Don’t commit and risk appearing disloyal to the GOP (Heaven forbid!/S).

They tried forcing the same “no-win” choice on Republicans in 2016, and all except Donald Trump walked right into the trap, picking A) and reducing themselves to party hacks who don’t even believe in their own campaign messages.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with Kathy Barnette’s answer - it shows she believes in herself and is not just shilling for the Republican Party. It shows she doesn’t fall for leftist media tricks. She said what any non-RINO should say.
