This has been said countless times and it has to be repeated until people get it. We are not supporting “a guy”. We are supporting “a nation” that is under attack. The “guy” just happens to be their head of government at the moment. The war is not about him. He is irrelevant. We would would be supporting Ukraine regardless of who was presiding over their govt.

This would be comparable to the U.S. passing legislation outlawing any party that advocating the violent overthrow of the U.S. Constitution.
