Yes, lots of conflicting info on the pontoon river crossing. And since there have been several attempts from both sides it makes it even harder to figure out. It is only hard to figure out if you are reading Russian propaganda. The only crossings attempted at that point are by Russian forces. At this point the Russians have tried 3 times to move vehicles across the river, and each time they have lost multiple vehicles and soldiers. It appears that at least one of the three attempts was an attempted retreat.

Both sides have blown up each other’s pontoons.
And so far almost all of the information from both sides indicates that Russia is winning this war, though Ukraine does keep attempting to launch initiatives...so far the only success was a limited tactical win in Karikov.
BTW, Ukraine had a very bad day today.

The Mayor of Rubizhne confirms that the town has fell to Russia and Ukrainian forces have been forced to retreat, stating they are being outshelled “three to one”.
Analysis: Whilst Ukraine have successfully kept their defence lines intact, Russia has in one weak significantly tightened the gap.
