Actually, I think there will be consequences for this person- whoever they are. The integrity of the Court has been trashed- what happened is catastrophic to the institution and Roberts knows it. They have the Federal Marshalls and the fbi investigating.
I think they’ll be disbarred and publicly humiliated. There are clerks on both sides that are furious about this. As far as criminal charges, I’m not sure what is at stake for this- but this is a big deal- if a crime can be proven, I bet it will be charged.
Or...we’re really sunk. We’ll see.
The Supreme Court has its own police force. The investigator is the SC Marshal, not US marshal. The SC Marshal found out about the leak very quickly and ordered fence barricades around the building within a short time.
