Things have not changed in 30 years.

I would say that things have gone downhill, not that they haven't changed.

Political correctness as a virtue reared its head in the 1970s, and it's been getting progressively worse ever since.

Hopefully we don't end up in a full-fledged Cultural Revolution. The elements of bullying, denial, and authoritarianism are all there, and they're being fed by the woke left.
