IMHO Putin made a catastrophically bad decision with this foolish invasion of Ukraine. With it he negated most of the progress Russia had made trying to recover from close to 90 years of murderous, debilitating communism. Yet take no joy in the needless deaths of many young Russians or valiant Ukrainians. Americans should never forget that it was these same Russians and Ukrainians who suffered immensely defeating and mauling the German army. In fact if The Russians had not destroyed the best of the German army and the US had to liberate Europe against an intact German army, many Americans alive today would simply not exist because their fathers and grandfathers would have been killed.
Sorry but this war was needless and tragic in every sense.
