The quickest out out of this is to kill Putin. Just that simple. Or he kills himself. WWII ended with the death of Hitler. WWIII will end, perhaps even before it begins, with the death of Putin. The guy is a deranged lunatic and there is no reasoning with him.

If Putin dies today, there will be a ceasefire tomorrow. Followed by a phased withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine. But if he lives the war will drag on with thousands continuing to die on both sides.
What’s really amazing is to see how many people on this thread are 100% ignorant about what is really happening in Ukraine.
