I’m going through hip and lower back pain now. L5 vertebra is pinching the nerves. Hip pain is not going away after a month of meds and home rest. Pain management was an additional 2 weeks before any additional meds or corticosteroids, and 6 to 8 weeks of PT.,with MAYBE some relief. My back Dr. is going to replace the L5 and is confident will help the hip. Dr. believes I should be back 90-100%. Pain management is just delaying the inevitable surgery. Prayers for all.
Yeah I’ve got involvement in L4-L5. Both sides.

Sounds like me. L5-S1 is shot.
Physical therapy not recommended by my doctor.
He told me to prepare myself for surgery.
Some days are worse than others.
