Reminds me of the mugging scene in Mad Men when Roger and Joan are walking through a once-nice neighborhood and are held at gunpoint. Roger says something like, “Just give him what he wants and look down.”
That does not reflect well on NYC, that at the time, there seemed to be a routine to muggings. As long as you hand it over and don’t look up at them so you can’d ID them, you’re likely to be unharmees. Physically, anyway.
