I have a dog. This particular dog is pretty smart compared to others in the species. It’s obvious. I say no 1,500 times and the dog learns that she shouldn’t sit on the table.
I had another dog, different species, and told the dog no 10,500 times and dog still couldn’t figure it out.
It’s sad, unfortunate, and I wish it wasn’t so. But it’s so.

Had a mutt I took off the pound’s hands and it was incredibly obedient. Bought some pure bred AKC thing my wife insisted on and the it was dumber than a doorknob.
