I see others have given you the ‘Aldi Primer,’ LOL! Take carry-alls or cardboard boxes with you. They will sell you paper bags for 5-cents (maybe more now?) each if you forget, or need some paper bags.
And about that Aldi Quarter? It’s good Karma to leave your quarter in the cart for the next person to find it and be OVERJOYED, LOL! On my last trip to Aldi I passed my paid-for cart on to an Amish family, so I got EXTRA good Karma out of that quarter!
You’ve got to make your own luck these days, that’s for sure! ;)
And don’t forget the great prices on wine and all the imported CHOCOLATE! Win/Win!
A girl cannot live on cheap Aldi canned goods, alone! :)
One more Aldi thing: When Beau was still working (he’s retired now) one of his last projects was building the Aldi where we shop. He LOVES going there for the savings and to, ‘see how well the old girl is holding up.’ ;)
I’ll start worrying when he says that about ME, LOL!
One more tip: If you plan to buy flour and/or sugar, grab a plastic bag from the produce section as you pass through. Aldi’s flour and sugar are the same quality as most, but the integrity of the packaging isn’t as good. If you wrap each one in a produce bag, you can contain the leaks.
(I do that no matter what store I’m buying flour from, but with Aldi’s it seems more important.)
And take CASH, Right? They don’t take Credit or Debit cards.
I THINK they take checks, but call ahead before you go. Things may have changed one way or another.
I’m taking cash with me, tomorrow.
Actually, the ones in Madison started taking credit/debit cards a few years ago. I don’t know if that’s a per-store decision, or if it’s the whole chain.
I'll take a pocket full of cash (too) when I go Wednesday.
Cash only.
I wonder if they have more parking lot robberies as a result of that policy?
Cash in one pocket and a Ruger 380 in the other. (SOP)
