Looks like his fingers were bent back and just caught him with those fingers and came across and the way his hand came across like that looked trained. But they take training for the action movies. Who knows. Could have been a fake but the sound was right on time. Sounded like he slapped the crap out of him. Don’t really care but a slap… why wouldn’t he punch him. I am not sure I have ever slapped someone I wanted to hit. If it was my wife and I was brought to that extreme I would dropped him like a bad habit. But would not have needed to, my wife would have dropped him.
Smith raises his left leg like to pivot and get his weight shift into it. That looks real.
But
The way Rock just leaves his face hanging out there with his hands behind his back doesn’t look right. My hands would have at least started up towards my face out of pure instinct. That looks fake.
If it truly was real and Smith actually & purposely walked up there to smack him in front of the crowd and millions watching, then he is truly lost and he needs to ditch that bitch in his life.
