The reason this is important even though the contents of the laptop are confirmed and have been made public is because being in the Congressional Record obligates Congress to act on anything unlawful that is found in it. Democrats will stall for as long as possible but if Republicans take back control of the House of Representatives following the midterm elections, this will streamline any investigations that could come from the laptop against Hunter Biden, his family, his accomplices, and even his father.
This is a huge development that will be completely ignored by corporate media. It has been months since the words “Hunter Biden” have even been mentioned by broadcast news channels.

They should have done it BEFORE the 2020 election. (Things like trying to enter the HD into the record, etc.) Pointless now.
How do you enter the contents of a hard drive into the Congressional Record? There’s much more on a hard drive than text.
I would be VERY surprised if it was the ENTIRE contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop, the 3rd one he lost! Remember, there was supposed to be kiddie porn on there, starring Hunter with a female Chinese child.

Whatever, I believe that the persons responsible for recording and archiving that are legally obligated to record what a Congressperson puts into the record as it sits, with not a single bit (literally) unchanged.

There are many copies of the harddrive out there now. Eggs in many different baskets.
Gaetz's point is not that the laptop is lost, the point is only that it's "lost" to the FBI, who are trying as hard as they can not to look at what's on it or do anything about the crimes it confirms.
