I've been an advocate for negotiations from the start.
Putin will not be swayed until he reaches his goal, no matter the cost. He will do/use whatever military hardware or weapons he has to.
Looking at the videos of Mariupol and other cities the devastation looks like Europe after WWII.

Time to get practical and realistic
Donbas is Russian leaning, speaks Russian . Let it go ,independent at least.
Crimea is another similar region and Russia's only warm water access. It's been controlled by them for 8 yrs. Let it go, give it to them.
Ukraine Neutral, no NATO.

Maybe save the country from any more destruction to the point of uninhabitable.

And by our supporting Ukraine with weapons and sending troops is increasing Putin's frustration and likelihood of his using chemical or nuclear weapons.
That would obviously lead to the slippery slope no one wants .
Biden and all his bluster is going to get us in a world of trouble.
We know he's a blowhard but other countries take his pronouncements seriously.
