They want Bidon gone, but without using handcuffs to do it, if it can be avoided.
Democrats do this all the time.
The left tends to conduct whispering campaigns, when they decided that somebody isn’t useful to them anymore. When they want somebody gone, they will start to leak the smallest stories of corruption and maleficence. If the person refuses, the leaks become more serious and more frequent.
It’s never gotten to the point where the wrong doings and maleficence ends up in an investigation that could end up with the politician in question going to prison, but I don’t think the Democrats would be above sending Biden to prison if he was absolutely determined to hang onto the nomination.
It’s why, when Clinton lost against Trump in 2016, you started seeing stories of Clinton flights to Epstein Island and stories of Haiti and such. They were signals to Clintons to retire and not use their political machine against anybody.
