"How did Trump get to be Speaker Of The House?"

He ran for the Senate in 2022, and was voted in as Speaker when the Republicans took back control of the House.

It's a farfetched scenario but it has been kicked around some.

Or a Florida Senator stepped down long enough for Florida's Governor to appoint Trump. Trump becomes speaker. As soon as Biden/Kamala are impeached, Trump becomes President, and the Florida governor reappoints the senator back to his seat.

Wishful thinking and tortured logic that overlooks the fact that most Reps hate Trump as much as the Dims do.

How did Trump get to be Speaker Of The House?

In Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution, "The House of Representatives shall chuse [sic] their Speaker and other Officers;" (no restrictions) i.e., the House can choose anyone they want.
