Can’t believe that I waited until I was 68 years old to read about the Alger Hiss case in “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers. In it, speaking as himself a devoted Communist, he declares that basically, once a commie, always a commie.
Sure, Russia “banned” the Communist Party after the breakup of the USSR, but the true believers are still burrowed in.
I don’t think they banned it. Its represented in the Duma.
Once it wasn’t compulsary it just became another Russian political party. See below Russian Commuist party 160,000 members.
