Reality as I see it:

The Russian army is not leaving and cannot be thrown out. Ukraine will be divided, the details yet to be decided. But despite all efforts, Ukraine will cede territory.

Pardon the old joke, but now we’re just haggling over the price.

Every day, more innocents die. The west sending in more weapons will not stop this, only raise the cost to both victim and victor. Meanwhile, what we are trying defend is being turned into a smoking ruin of death and destruction.

How long?

Correct. The higher the price Russia pays for this invasion the less likely it will be to give any of the territory back.

Ukraine will be a divided mess for decades to come, that is if its not turned into a hell scape of unimaginable proportions.

Mostly over the issue of Ukraine becoming an unnecessary 31st member of NATO.
