And she's right.
America voted for STUPIDITY like hers and Biden's and that's exactly what it got.
Good and hard.
It would be interesting to see the cost of gas, and other products, over the years, adjusted for inflation.
And then also compare people’s paychecks decades ago to the prices of products.
I recall my parents telling stories of their first house costing $11,000, but also how it was a stretch to buy as Dad only made about $2,500 a year then.
Since he drives a tesla he doesn’t care how much we pay for OUR gas.
Mean tweets are mighty powerful!
My retirement numbers had no allowance for COLA. Unlike SS chk which is really keeping up with inflation. NOT!
My first one was and FHA 235 house and was $17,500.

Supply and Demand, what is it and how does it work???
A mystery of the ages.
Me either, may have to get a part time job to make it all work.. Hope fully I find something I can do from home as ai am a full time caregiver.
What’s this ‘we’ crap!!!
Americans saw our asses getting kicked out of Afghanistan. They know Biden is weak. They know our generals are woke. Americans know that Russia invaded Ukraine because of both of these things. They will know the same thing when China invades Taiwan. The wild cards are Iran and Syria. Screw the Abraham Accords. The middle east will blow up next. Gas and everything will necessarily skyrocket.

NOW, what's the math?
Best of luck in your search. Actually I did ponder the thought myself. And isn’t that friggin’ sad?
I’ve spent the past few days re-running our retirement budget and scenario planning. It’s really ugly. We had our spending at the target 4%/year draw-down on savings, but we’ve blown through that now. I’m expecting big property tax increases because real estate has been soaring.
We are really screwed. I was counting on a stable fiscal environment for retirement — whoo boy, was that a bad assumption. We had 40+ years of stability and I honestly thought that would continue through the rest of my days. Little did we suspect the government would print 80% of all dollars that have ever existed in the past two years to deal with a mild, largely survivable viral disease.
6.50 a gallon for diesel this morning. YAY Biden.
Hey. 81 million votes can’t all be wrong. Or can they.....
Who plans for 17% inflation? And, guess who doesn’t care.....
You can make that kind of rational all day long, but the fact is wages have not gone up enough to cover that, food, rent or a mortgage.

Mentioning that inflation is real, that our government spending money we don’t have causes it is not about opinion, just the facts. I abhor inflation, I’m old, three quarters of a century old so I understand inflation, the effect it has on savings of a lifetime. I understand what it does to fixed incomes. I understand what it does to business who have to try to keep up with inflation by paying higher costs for goods, for having to pay higher costs for salary’s, for paying higher costs for transportation and anything else that is procured with money. Inflation is an evil tax that is put upon us without voting.
Congress just gave itself a 21% raise. They know about inflation too but do it to us anyway. The current presidential administration says the way around this high gas price is just go buy an electric car; in my opinion it is just like saying “let them eat cake.” Perhaps it is more like “screw them, let them go out and buy an electric car”.
Real wages in the US averaged a 1.7% decrease in the last 12 months.
Elections have consequences, even stolen elections.
