It’s not like 100 years ago. Today’s police officers go through professional training. And they are paid a professional’s salary. So it’s not to much to ask them to behave in a professional manner, ALL the time. This sergeant failed in that regard.

(And yes, I get that policing is more difficult than it was 100 years ago.)

Some people become cops because they hate their fellow citizens. They will deny this truth vociferously.
