"Gosh - another Russian cheerleader masquerading as a “conservative”. We done, Comrade."
For me, it's not a question of supporting Putin or this invasion, but of having my suspicions aroused by the over-the-top propaganda I'm seeing in support of the Ukrainians, which has included numerous proven cases of misrepresented or doctored photos and false narratives.
I've never seen the left so enthusiastic about any of our OWN war efforts, which they almost invariably oppose, but - just as with the Kurds a few years ago - we are being told that THIS fight defines "who we are" and anything less than total, unquestioning support is a betrayal of "our most fundamental values."
Suddenly, the left is cheering on "white nationalists," including civilians bearing the very arms that the left does not want US to have. Suddenly nationalism is a good thing, and the left are waving Ukrainian flags. The CIA has been messing around in Ukrainian politics for some years now - even helping install the previous regime - and who knows what the endgame is. I trust our own government no more than I trust Putin.
I feel that the Ukrainian fighters may end up being surrogates for the globalists, as the globalists - the banks, Soros, the Democrats, the media - are all lined up behind them. I'm afraid that we in the West have been moving in a direction not very different from Putin's Russia, and I find it hard to see this as a simple good vs evil scenario.

It is actually very simple: Russia just threw their massive forces against people who didn't do anything at all to them- then threatened us with nuclear attacks.
Ukraine and some of the people backing them are crooks and deviants but it's still quite clear that The Russians are evil and Ukraine should not be invaded.
Not all that hard, is it?
